For an on-site event, you will be treated to one of the most beautiful settings in North Idaho, with their cozy lodge setting and multiple outdoor patios on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille. Located just south of the Long Bridge, the venue is perfect for viewing the spectacular sunsets over the mountains and lake.
If you are looking to host an event at an elegant off-site venue, whether at your home or one of Sandpoint’s event facilities, Forty-One South will work with you on every detail. With an extensive menu selection, Cassandra and her staff will tailor your menu based upon preferences, budget and event style.
“We cater about a dozen large weddings each year and multiple smaller weddings as well,” said Cassandra. “Aside from weddings, we also specialize in corporate events, business luncheons and dinners, and both anniversary and birthday parties.”
While Forty-One South is happy to provide sample menus to help spark some ideas with its customers, Cassandra emphasizes that she prefers to work one-on-one with her customers to create a customized menu that will be unique to each customer’s preference and will meet their budget.
“This adds a little bit more time and effort to our planning process, but it’s what makes each event so special and personal,” said Cassandra.
With both a private room, which can accommodate up to 24 guests, as well as a large dining area and bar, Forty-One South can accommodate both small, intimate gatherings or a group up to 175 guests. The rates to rent either a portion or the entire venue do vary depending upon time of year and other factors, so if you are interested in finding out more, Cassandra encourages people to contact the restaurant directly.
“The private room is perfect for business meetings, baby showers, birthday or bachelorette parties, wedding or rehearsal dinners, or any small group looking to enjoy a more private space for their dinner service,” said Cassandra. “We do not charge a fee for the room as long as they are ordering food and beverages.”
Owning two restaurants, Forty-One South and Shoga Sushi, Cassandra and her staff are highly regarded for their exquisite food and superior customer service. And that reputation has carried over to their catering as well.
“What I love most about catering special events is that every event is so unique. We have a few corporate groups that come back regularly throughout the year for meetings or employee retreats,” said Cassandra. “We have gotten to know the clientele so well, including their setup and dietary preferences, so it is like seeing old friends every time they return. Although we are not typically open for lunch service, we do accommodate for large groups whenever possible and try to provide full-service dining during their event as the client needs.”
