Join the Downtown Sandpoint Shopping District in downtown Sandpoint to celebrate fall with Apple Fest! The community is invited to come visit your Downtown Sandpoint Shopping District members on Saturday, October 14, for this annual celebration! Want your face painted? Launch an apple from a catapult? Do you like pie? Then this is the place to be from 10am to 6pm!
“The goal of Apple Fest is to showcase fall in Sandpoint as our temperatures cool and the leaves begin to change,” shares Justin Dick, owner of Trinity at City Beach and member of the Downtown Sandpoint Shopping District. “It’s one of the most beautiful seasons we have.”
Festivities include an Apple Pie Contest, Apple Catapult, Apple Bingo, apple games, face painting, cornhole, Pie Contest and more!
For Apple Bingo, pick up your Bingo card at Tomlinson Sotheby's the day of the event (or download a card online). Visit Shopping District member businesses to mark your bingo card, connecting any six businesses in a straight (up/down, left/right) or diagonal row. Turn in your bingo card by 6pm to Pend d’Oreille Winery, The District, Barrel 33 or Trinity at City Beach for a chance to win $250 in gift cards!
Those interested in participating in the Pie Contest, bring one pie to sell and one pie to judge. Contestants must submit pies by 10am the morning of the event on the Cedar Street Bridge at Creations. Proceeds from the contest will go to benefit Creations.
“My favorite part of Apple Fest is that it’s geared to get our local customers out in downtown Sandpoint,” smiles Justin. “Apple Fest is a great opportunity for our locals to get out before the winter season starts, experience many different areas of downtown Sandpoint, partake in apple-themed games, prizes, raffles, food and beverage, and discounts from the participating Shopping District businesses.”
