Ending Hunger, Bite-by-Bite: Bonner Community Food Bank Benefit

Ending Hunger, Bite-by-Bite returns to the Bonner County Fairgrounds on October 10 from 5 to 8 pm, raising support for the Bonner Community Food Bank as it prepares to move into a larger facility in Ponderay. Small plates from local restaurants anchor the evening, alongside silent and live auctions, a paddle raise, and new games this year.
Confirmed restaurants include 113 Main, Baxter's, Beet and Basil, Flavors of Phoenicia, Marigold Bistro, Opa, Spuds Waterfront Grill, Sweet Lou's, The Bank, Ponderay Winery and The District, with more still being added. The event also supports the food bank's growth, now serving about 3,100 households a month in Bonner County, up from 1,800 in 2021.
General admission tickets run $45. A new $75 VIP ticket adds a shuttle to the Ponderay facility ahead of the main event, where board members lead a private tour before guests return for wine, charcuterie, and early entry. Businesses can also sponsor the event, with levels ranging from $250 to $10,000, or donate items for the silent auction.
Organizers have set a $100,000 goal to cover food purchases, programs, and costs associated with preparing the Ponderay building, including roof repairs, parking lot paving, and the relocation of walk-in coolers and freezers.
