The Bonner County Fair runs Tuesday through Saturday, August 18-22, at the fairgrounds at 4203 N. Boyer Road in Sandpoint. The fair has been a Bonner County tradition since 1927 and includes livestock shows, 4-H exhibits, home economics displays, fruit and vegetable contests, food booths, carnival rides, and live entertainment. Competitive categories include dairy and beef cattle, sheep, swine, poultry, rabbits, and field crops, as well as clothing, needlework, and baking competitions. The fairgrounds sit just north of downtown Sandpoint at the foot of the Selkirk Mountains. Schedules and exhibitor info are online.
