When facing an unplanned pregnancy, having access to compassionate, judgment-free support can make all the difference. That’s exactly what Life Choices Pregnancy Center (LCPC) and 7B Care Clinic aim to provide for the Sandpoint community.

At the heart of this organization is a clear and unwavering mission: “Life Choices Pregnancy Center is a Christ-centered non-profit organization dedicated to the sanctity of human life, recognizing that life begins at conception. We provide support and education to all those facing situations related to pregnancy, abortion, and sexual health. LCPC strives to empower healthy, vibrant families in the context of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.”

LCPC and 7B Care Clinic operate as one unified ministry, serving two distinct roles. LCPC is the donor-facing arm, focusing on raising funds and building awareness. 7B Care Clinic is the client-facing branch, providing direct services to women, men, and families in need.

“We rebranded our clinic as 7B Care Clinic to create a welcoming space for all women, including those who may be considering abortion,” explains Executive Director Janine Shepard. “Our goal is not to make decisions for women, but to provide a safe place where they can explore all their options—parenting, adoption, and abortion.” While the clinic does not perform or refer for abortions, they are committed to providing accurate information and a compassionate environment where women can make informed decisions.

Clients at 7B Care Clinic have access to a wide array of no-cost services, including medical-grade pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds to confirm pregnancy and estimate gestational age, medical-grade STD testing, individualized coaching, parenting and life skills classes, and material support. Although ongoing prenatal care is not currently part of the clinic's scope, it provides early pregnancy support and connects clients with trusted local providers for continued care. The organization also serves male clients, offering one-on-one coaching to encourage active and confident fatherhood.

Through the BrightCourse program, clients can choose from over 250 online classes that cover topics such as pregnancy, parenting, and life skills. As they complete classes, they can earn gas or grocery gift cards. Monthly playgroups also help moms find connection and build a sense of community. For those in need of additional help, the clinic offers referrals to trusted local partners.

Beyond pregnancy-related services, the clinic also offers essential emotional support. “We offer abortion recovery support for women and men who have experienced the emotional and spiritual impact of abortion,” Shepard says. “We also provide miscarriage support for individuals and couples grieving the loss of a pregnancy… reminding them they are not alone and that healing is possible.”

Looking to the future, 7B Care Clinic has plans to expand. “We’re working toward offering OB care for low-risk clients through 25 weeks of pregnancy, right here in our community,” Shepard shares. They hope to launch this program in January 2026 and are relying on community support and faith to help bring this goal to life.

There are many ways to support the mission—from donating diapers and baby items to volunteering as a coach. Financial contributions can be made securely at LifeChoiceSPC.org.
