Fall Adventures

Fall in Sandpoint is typically beautiful and warm. Autumn colors make a Sunday afternoon drive a thing of real beauty. Fall Fest at Schweitzer Mountain includes live music, chairlift rides and a brewfest featuring local and regional breweries. The Scenic Half Marathon takes places and also includes a 10k and 5k run. Locals rally around the Sandpoint High School football team. It’s also a great time to visit the Bird Aviation Museum named for one of Sandpoint’s most famous citizens – Dr. Forrest Bird. Camping spots and recreation trails become less crowded giving those brave enough for a couple cold nights a backcountry often all to themselves.

Alpine Shop
