Pollock Precision Gunsmithing is there for all your custom gun and repair needs By Jillian Chandler Being a practitioner in the operating room for more than a decade, it was after the pandemic that Evan Pollock decided to step away from health care to pursue his dream job of repairing and building firearms for the local community.
“Firearms have always been a passion of mine,” Evan shares. “I enjoy competitive shooting as well as hunting. My late father was a successful gunsmith, and I am following in his footsteps.”
Evan worked alongside his father as a gunsmith for many years, inspired to venture out and pursue his passion and dream one day. Earlier this year he opened his own gunsmithing business—Pollock Precision Gunsmithing. With a deep-rooted understanding of firearms and a commitment to continuous improvement, Evan is dedicated to delivering upon request and providing exceptional results that exceed his customers’ expectations.
At Pollock Precision Gunsmithing, Evan utilizes his vast knowledge and skills, providing a variety of services to his clients. From custom gun crafting, repairs and cleaning, and re-barreling, to gun purchasing, selling and trading, he also offers accessory mounting, accurizing and test firing, refinishing and consignments. For those in need of routine maintenance and cleanings, Evan’s ready to take care of it all. He prides himself on not only providing his clientele with high-quality work but affordable, fair prices.
Evan feels humbled and blessed with the freedom that comes with owning his own business and honored to serve the community. He takes pride in being one of the locally owned small businesses that helps sustain the local population and provides economic benefits for the local community.
He, along with his wife Leah, their two boys Ethan and Noah, and fur baby Phoebe, made the move to North Idaho several years ago, settling in Sagle. They had visited the area and fell for Sandpoint’s old, small-town feel and charming community. And with family in North Idaho—from Post Falls to Hayden, all the way to Hope—the Pollocks knew this was the place they too wanted to call home.
Evan Pollock is a dedicated family man. He is a believer. He prides himself on his honesty, hard work and dedication, while remaining humble and gracious. He hopes to share his passion for firearms with his own two sons as he did with his father.
When not helping his customers with all of their firearm needs, you will find Evan out in nature hunting, fishing and camping. He is also involved in his local community. Evan is a Freemason at local Lakeside Lodge #42 here in Sandpoint and volunteers his time as an assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop #111 of Sandpoint.
Open 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, and weekends by special request, Evan invites you to call 208.889.8380 or email PPG1911@yahoo.com for a no-obligation estimate, or stop by the workshop for a hassle-free firearm assessment for your mechanical repairs or customization suggestions. Residents of Bonner, Boundary and Kootenai counties can order custom guns online at PollockPrecisionGunsmithing.com. Keep an eye out come the new year, as Evan is working to open a storefront in early 2024!
